The module "Social studies, Psychological studies"  as a form of educational program studies current problems of modern society, the essence of social processes and relationships, issues of social and ethical values of society, the nature of situations in various spheres of social communication. Considers the formation of a holistic view of the psychological characteristics of a person as an important factor in the professional activity of future physicians.

Sociology and psychology teaches to understand social situations at the level of both theoretical knowledge and actual knowledge – through research and analysis, the results of which are embodied in social reforms. Sociological knowledge is designed to help foster socio-cultural sensitivity towards various groups of society.

As a general education discipline, in the professional training of future doctors, it will contribute to: improving the general, social and psychological culture, forming a holistic view of the psychological characteristics of a person as factors of the success of his activities. In addition, it is a system of applied knowledge that allows future specialists to develop such professionally significant personality qualities as the ability to analyze social phenomena, their own behavior and the behavior of other people, the ability to listen and hear the interlocutor, understand his emotional state, take into account his age characteristics.
